You may begin a game with daytime instead of night-time. Allow accusations to fly about who is mafia before any evidence at all has been collected. This will work best if the moderator nonrandomly assigns roles, since the predispositions of the moderator may be taken into account. Combining this with required killings means that someone must be killed before the game begins. This could have a downside, though-- if your angel or archangel is killed, it can skew the game wildly in the favor of the mafia, especially if the first day passes before anyone looks at their cards-- yes, this means arguing who is mafia before you even know whether you're mafia. We wouldn't recommend all of these variants taken together.
