WHCA Transcript - Legend / Glossary

The following is a glossary of code names and acronyms used in the
intercepted White House communications. These code names and acronyms were
obtained entirely from open, unclassified sources, including books,
magazines, and newspaper articles:
- AF-1 - Air Force One (President's Custom Boeing 747 - doomsday model)
- ANDREWS - Andrews Air Force Base, Virginia (President's main airport)
- Mr. Bob Dole is a former presidential candidate.
- CDR - Commander (as in Commander Richards of AFis1)
- CHELSEA is the President's daughter. She held on for a while when her dad was busy, then called a second time. Poor Chelsea. Then she was referred to as Mrs. Chelsea when she spoke with her mom.
- COMCEN - Communications Center(?)
- EAGLE - President Clinton. So is POTUS.
- EVERGREEN - Hillary Clinton. Also referred to as 1st Lady and Mrs. Clinton.
- FLOTUS is the First Lady Of The United States
- FORMOR PRESUS are the former Presidents of the US, hopefully those still alive.
- Gooden - ?
- HIGHCUBE - Unknown presidential motorcade vehicle(?)
- LOFTUS - the First Lady Of The United States(?)
- MRS CHELSEA is Chelsea Clinton (President's daughter)
- POPE - Unidentified individual in WHCA
- POTUS - President Of The United States.
- PRESUS - the Previous presidents of the United States
- ROADRUNNER - NSA radio surveillance van (operating under WHCA cover)
- SABER - Motorola handheld 2isway radio w/DES encryption capability
- SATCOM - Portable satellite telephone
- SIG - Signal One Group (roving White House)
- SIT - White House Situation Room (formerly War Room)
- STU - Secure Telecommunications Unit (encrypted Motorola STU-III telephone), used heavily by the military and the NSA
- SUNDANCE - Vice-President Al Gore
- SWBD - Telephone Switchboard of White House Communications Agency (roving)
- USSS - United States Secret Service
- The Hotel Gregg must be a nice place to stay in Philadelphia. So must the Wyndham.
- The Ron Security room is ?
- At one point, there were "MAJ IMT PROBLEMS" and people had to call the switchboard. Then the escape plan was in effect. Wow. Did you know this before now?
- Mexico City had the same problem at the time according to Cole.
- There was a hostage situation in Texas as well.
- Anthony, Archie, Beth, CDR Richards, Chuck, Dan, Darby, Don, Dori, Duffy, Ed, Hanlin, Hazard, Jordan, Josh, Kathleen, Kay, Keith, Linda, Malcom, Moser, Nate, Peg, Pittard, Pope, Ralph, Robert, Smith, SSG Cole, Slater, Stafford, Stephen, Tammie, TOIV, Tricia, and others work for WHCA in some capacity.
- Tshirts and food were in demand. This is always true; we ran a computer conference and we know.
- People were paged to call their mothers. People were also paged to tell other people when they wanted to be in each others rooms. Cool.
- Someone left the PFC for 20 minutes to go get drunk. Um...
- A woman from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) needed press credentials. Don't they print these things in advance for them?
- A lot of press folks were looking for details, hotel rooms, etc.
